Faculty Clinical Supervisors
Cheryl Repass, PsyD
Clinic Executive Director, Clinician, Licensed Supervisor, Department of Psychology Chair, School Psychology Masters Program Director, Traditional Undergraduate Program Co-Director, Professor of Psychology
Dr. Repass specializes in the field of School Psychology, with over 15 years of experience working in the schools. She earned her Doctorate in School Psychology from Alfred University and is a Licensed Psychologist as well as Psychology Department Chair, Professor, and Program Co-Director.
Specific areas of expertise are in assessment and diagnosis with primary specialties in areas of learning and behavior, social emotional concerns and their effect on learning, autism, gifted learning behaviors, developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, processing disorders and evidence based intervention.
Dr. Repass has been dedicated to the work of understanding the learning needs of children throughout her career. She is committed to better understanding some of the hardest to answer child and adolescent difficulties in hopes of providing better support to children, families, and schools. She welcomes opportunities to form collaborative relationships with home school families, private and charter schools, and P-12 public schools.
Jennifer Aube, PhD
Clinic Consulting Director, Clinician, Licensed Supervisor, Department of Psychology PsyD Program Director, Traditional Undergraduate Program Co-Director, Professor of Psychology
Dr. Aube earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from McGill University. She is a Licensed Psychologist as well as Professor of Psychology and Doctoral Program Director at Roberts Wesleyan University. She has over 25 years of experience providing assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services in a variety of settings, including college counseling, private practice, outpatient clinics, and hospitals.
Dr. Aube has experience treating a variety of psychological issues in adults, including depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, grief, and trauma. She works with people who are experiencing stressful life events, difficulties in relationships, loss, and challenges in their lives, and who seek to better understand themselves and develop new skills to manage these challenges more effectively. She has a special interest in providing a space for those who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into the therapy process to become emotionally and spiritually healthy.
Dr. Aube considers it a privilege to partner with those who are struggling. She aims to provide a place where clients can be heard, understood, and accepted. She works collaboratively to help clients gain a better understanding of their problems and to commit to actions that will improve their lives.
Ashley Cooper, PsyD, CAS
Clinician, Licensed Supervisor, Department of Psychology Assistant Professor
Dr. Cooper earned her undergraduate and graduate training from Roberts Wesleyan University, including her doctorate degree in School/Clinical Psychology. Dr. Cooper currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Roberts Wesleyan University. She is also employed as a behavior therapist at Genesee Valley Institute of Psychology where she received specialized training in treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders. Dr. Cooper’s previous clinical experience includes the role of school psychologist where she worked primarily with preschool and elementary school-aged children.
Dr. Cooper is passionate about providing a safe and inclusive space for her clients to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to effect healing, growth, and change.
Lauren Monthie, PsyD
Staff Psychologist, Supervisor, Department of Psychology Adjunct Professor
Dr. Monthie earned her PsyD in Clinical/School Psychology from Roberts Wesleyan University and is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families. Her prior experience spans residential, school, and community mental health settings, where she has provided therapeutic and diagnostic services.
Dr. Monthie offers trauma-informed caregiver training through Trust-Based Relational Intervention and finds value working with the entire family system. She also has experience in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She has a background in school psychology, particularly in special education, and wishes to continue fostering collaborative relationships with nearby schools. Additionally, Dr. Monthie integrates her passion for art and play into therapy, providing a creative outlet for those interested in exploring various therapeutic platforms.
Karen Reber, LCSW-R
Clinician, Licensed Supervisor, Department of Psychology Graduate and Undergraduate Field Education Director
Karen Reber earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Roberts Wesleyan University as well as her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work, with additional licensure for psychotherapy. She has recently returned to RWU to support the Psychology Department as Director of Field Education, and Westside Psychological Services as a clinician specializing in couples and family therapy.
She returns to Roberts after extensive work as a clinic therapist at a community mental health clinic in Orleans County, where she had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients within the clinic and at two satellite offices, within their local high school and middle school. Her years of experience with a variety of ages, backgrounds, and severity of mental health struggles give her a unique insight and ability to assist clients.
Karen considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families as they work to improve their daily function and better manage the challenges that come along. Karen is passionate about building a therapeutic relationship with her clients and providing a supportive environment to allow for growth and change.
Joe Teeple, PsyD
Clinician, Supervisor, Department of Psychology Assistant Professor
Dr. Teeple completed his undergraduate education at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA, and his doctorate in clinical psychology at Marywood University in Scranton, PA -- Yes, the town from The Office! He completed his doctoral internship at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center and is currently serving as a postdoctoral fellow at Westside Psychological Services, as well as an adjunct professor of psychology at Roberts Wesleyan University and Rochester Institute of Technology.
Dr. Teeple has experience treating and assessing cases ranging from ADHD and learning disorders to complex trauma. He works primarily with adults and has clinical interest in working with patients with trauma and has a special interest in working with patients suffering from terminal illnesses. Dr. Teeple also has an interest in group therapy.
Doctoral Candidate Clinicians
As a doctoral training clinic, Westside Psychological Services serves as a practicum site for the PsyD program at Roberts Wesleyan University.
Our widely diverse and exceptional doctoral candidates perform the majority of evaluations and therapeutic services at the clinic, under close supervision by licensed faculty, postdoctoral clinicians, and staff. This model allows us to keep our fees low, while still providing excellent service to the Greater Rochester community and beyond.

Kelly Bisciotti
Clinic Operations Administrator
Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in biology and chemistry from SUNY Brockport. Previously a senior technical associate in a prestigious biomedical genetics research lab for 15 years, Kelly has turned her focus to family and other interests.
With a lifelong passion for administrative support, Kelly has embraced her support role in Westside Psychological Services with billing, scheduling, and other operations needs.
Kelly has a personal interest in holistic wellness, and understands the importance of mental health advocacy. She is thrilled to be able to support the greater Rochester community through her clinic role.
