Academic Summer Camps

Spend a week or two living like a Redhawk!

Choose the camp that most excites you, such as Nursing, STEM, or Claymation Studio. Spend the week fully immersed in that topic, learning from our expert faculty who love what they do.
Camps run Sunday-Friday and are open to high school students entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year.
NEW THIS YEAR: In addition to our overnight camp, we are excited to expand the summer camp program to include a day camp option. It's perfect for students and families who want to experience all the fun that camp has to offer without the overnight stay.
Day campers will attend both the morning and afternoon academic sessions, and all-you-can-eat breakfast and lunch will be provided. There will also be some free time to spend with new friends and opportunities to explore the Roberts campus.

Week 1

July 12 - 17

Nursing

  • Step into a nurse’s daily work using Roberts’ cutting-edge simulation
  • Practice hands-on assessment and nursing skills in our state-of-the-art labs
  • Take part in high-fidelity simulations with manikins that breathe, talk, and respond
  • Get a snapshot of nursing career paths and what it takes to lead with confidence

  • Try your hand at photography and filmmaking using pro DSLR, video, and audio gear
  • Learn the essentials of visual storytelling
  • Practice interviews, b-roll, editing, and marketing content

  • Explore medical careers and pathways to medical school
  • Join hands-on simulations and analyze case studies
  • Perform dissections of the heart, lungs, kidney, and brain
  • Conduct genetics experiments and learn basic suturing skills

  • Learn how to plan, shoot, and edit your own short stop-motion film
  • Build a detailed set and craft expressive clay characters with simple armatures
  • Experiment with basic editing tools to create a polished final video
  • Join daily demos, critiques, and guided studio time that mirror a college art course and build your creative confidence

STEM

Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math

  • Explore STEM with hands-on experiments in light, diffraction, and quantum science
  • Build interferometers or telescopes, run Python simulations, and 3D print designs in TinkerCAD
  • Play Quantum Odyssey to learn about qubits, gates, and entanglement
  • Go star- and planet-gazing using Star Walk and Stellarium apps

Cost

Overnight Camp: $600/week

Day Camp: $375/week

Early Bird Discount if you register by March 1st!

The cost of camp includes:

Full Scholarships Available

Students meeting select criteria may be eligible to receive a full scholarship to attend one summer camp of their choice. Determine eligibility during registration for camp.

Students must have financial need as evidenced by receiving free or reduced lunch.

Scholarship applicants may apply to attend for one week of camp. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 29.

Frequently Asked Questions

If a participant cancels, refunds will be given if withdrawal from the program is made at least four weeks prior to the start date (by June 14, 2026). Requests for refunds will not be honored if withdrawal is made within four weeks of the start date unless a written request citing extenuating circumstances is submitted and approved.

A $25 processing fee will be retained for withdrawal refunds.

Any Overnight/Day Camp changes made prior to June 30 will be honored; however, no refunds will be offered for changes after June 14.

For example, if your child wishes to switch from Overnight Camp to Day Camp after June 14, the change will be accommodated; however, you will still be charged the full amount for an Overnight Camp.

We provide all meals and cover the costs of activities. Campers are welcome to bring additional cash if they wish to and the campus bookstore will be open, but it is not required.

  • Participation Agreement
  • Medical Release
  • Voller Athletic Center Waiver
  • Health Care Provider Consent Form (This form should be printed and completed by the camper's doctor)
