Day Butcher '03 (Art Education) was promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor at Lancaster Bible College, effective July 2025. Dr. Day Butcher co-presented at the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation in March in Boston. The workshop was on Clinical Humility in Developmental Trauma in Foster Care and Adoption and explored the relationships between trauma and the profound psychological effects it has on individuals and families of foster care/adoption. The focus was on how clinicians should think about their position as “experts,” rather than move from one-size-fits-all solutions towards understanding the complex challenges and integrating different therapeutic perspectives.
