Roberts Wesleyan University is proud to connect our Master of Social Work and R.N. to B.S. students with the Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program. 

The CPT program provides tuition coverage and education-related expenses for starting or advancing your career in health, behavioral health, or social care.

Master of Social Work

Our MSW program trains clinical social workers with a focus in either Mental Health or Child & Family Services.
Grads consistently outpace state and national averages on LMSW and LCSW exams.

The Application Process

Apply to your program of choice at the same time you apply to the CPT program.

After you apply to both Roberts and the CPT program, Roberts and CPT representatives will contact you to walk you through your next steps.

Program Details

  • Funding is available to pay for tuition after free federal and state aid is applied. It also covers textbooks, supplies, and other fees
  • Three-year commitment of service with a NYS provider that serves at least 30% Medicaid members and/or uninsured
  • Participants must apply for and accept FAFSA and TAP, if applicable
  • The educational program must be completed by March 2027
  • Participants may only attend schools participating in the CPT Program (like Roberts Wesleyan University)

Participant Eligibility Criteria

Participants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the CPT Program:

  • United States Citizen/eligible noncitizen
  • Meet all educational or training program requirements based on the selected CPT Program title and course of study. This may include:
    • Prior completion of educational programs, licensure, and/or certification;
    • Successful completion of academic or training pre-requisites, or entrance exams;
    • Fulfillment of any required training, volunteer, or experiential hours.
  • Must be a NYS resident or resident of a bordering state (New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Vermont). Out-of-state participants must be employed by a NYS provider to qualify for the CPT Program.
  • Committed to employment at a New York State Medicaid-enrolled provider that serves at least 30 percent Medicaid members and/or uninsured individuals. These providers may include those that fall into the categories of health, behavioral health, and/or organizations that are part of established Social Care Networks

Frequently Asked Questions

Onboarding: Once the form is submitted, you’ll receive an email from GoCo to create an account for onboarding. Once created, you get a link to complete a pre-services needs assessment.

Connection: Once the assessment is completed, an Education Case Manager will reach out to answer questions and discuss eligibility.

Apply to CPT: Look for an email from GoCo with an application link–complete the application and sign your Participant Agreement in DocuSign.

Get Final Approval: You will receive the final acceptance decision within two (2) business days.
