Carina Telesca

Adjunct Professor of Choral Music; Director of Roberts Chorale

Profile

Professor Carina Telesca joins the Roberts Music Faculty as Director of The Roberts Chorale.  She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nazareth University in 2006 with a Master of Science degree in Music Education and was honored with the Graduate Award in Music Education. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education Magna Cum Laude from Roberts Wesleyan University in 2000. Additionally, she holds an Instructional Design Foundations and Applications Certification from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Orff Level I certification from the Eastman School of Music, and has completed advanced study in choral conducting at Westminster Choir College of Rider University. 

Prof. Telesca has served on the voice faculty at Alfred University as well as in the Rochester and Alfred-Almond school districts. She is currently the Choral Director at Honeoye Falls-Lima School District, where she also teaches vocal and general music. As a performer, she has appeared as a soloist with the Rochester Oratorio Society, the Orpheus Chorale, and the Hornell Community Theatre, and she currently serves as a cantor for the Catholic Diocese of Rochester. 

With over 25 years of experience directing choral ensembles across all levels, she has developed deep connections within the Rochester and upstate New York music education communities. Prof. Telesca brings to Roberts Wesleyan University a steadfast commitment to the highest standards of musical excellence and a passionate belief in the transformative power of music.
