Robert Dorman
Director, Traditional Nursing Program
Associate Professor of Nursing
I would want a new student to know that the nursing faculty is here for them. We know that it's a difficult, rigorous program, and we are here to help.
Profile
Robert Dorman joined the Roberts Wesleyan University nursing faculty in 2019, bringing deep expertise in pediatric critical care, trauma, transport, and flight nursing. He’s board-certified in multiple specialty areas and actively works as a flight nurse with Mercy Flight Central.
In addition to teaching Pediatric CCRN review courses nationwide, Dorman consults as a Legal Nurse Consultant and has been interviewed frequently by local media on nursing education. His research focuses on simulation and trauma care, with recent studies published in the Journal of Pediatric Surgical Nursing and the Journal of Pediatric Surgery.
At Roberts, he’s known for integrating clinical judgment into high-fidelity simulation and serves on both the Safety and Admissions Committees. His teaching blends real-world experience with a deep commitment to student growth and hands-on learning.
When he’s not in the classroom or the air, you’ll likely find him hiking, kayaking, skiing, or fishing.
