This course is a continuation of CHEM 1110. Topics covered include gases, intermolecular forces, solids, kinetics, equilibrium, acid/base chemistry, redox chemistry, and nuclear chemistry.
Prerequisites: CHEM 1110 Lecture and Lab. Corequisite: CHEM 1120 Lab.
This lab course offers an introduction to modern experimental chemistry. Students are acquainted with common laboratory practices and instrumentation used to investigate chemical systems. The lab illustrates and expands upon many of the important concepts and problem-solving techniques encountered in the CHEM 1120 lecture course.
Prerequisites: CHEM 1110 Lecture and Lab. Corequisite: CHEM 1120 Lecture.
