The Scary Thing Is...

My name is Angelica Polcini. Now that I hold my degree in Early Childhood Education. We will start with an exercise I use to teach the youth of America!

Raise your hand if you are still trying to figure out where you will live after college.

Raise your hand if you are scared to pay adult bills.

Raise your hand if you fea the uncertainty to come.

Thank you for participating.

I did this exercise to show that you are not alone in the uncertainty the future may hold.

The scary part is that we are beginning our adult lives, but the fun part is that we are beginning our adult lives! Even though the unknown can be scary, be steadfast in knowing that God will guide us along the way as we start venturing into the next chapters of our lives.

As Paul states in Philippians 1:6, “I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."

What I wish for you, my fellow graduates, is success in all of your future endeavors. Let’s go in Christ to serve the Lord and each other.

As we leave Roberts Wesleyan, I want you to hold on to the memories, and they will hold onto you.

Angelica Polcini graduated from Roberts Wesleyan University with a B.S. in Early Childhood and Students with Disabilities (Birth–Grade 2) and a concentration in social studies. She has accepted a preschool teaching position starting this fall and is working toward her goal of becoming an integrated co-teacher in a K–2 classroom. She is from Long Island, NY. While at Roberts, Angelica was a student-athlete on the Women’s Bowling Team and served as Senior Class President, reflecting her commitment to leadership and community.
