Each year, the department sponsors a competition for students to write or present on one of the 4 transformational model themes that are integrated into the business curriculum. This year’s theme is integrity.

The integrity learning goal for students is that, based on a supernatural discernment given by God to decide right from wrong, they will learn what it means to be in the world but not of the world.

This is a difficult lesson for students living in a culture pervaded by relativism. In business courses, students are presented with numerous case studies on ethical issues so that they can discern ethical business practices from unethical business practices.

This year’s winners are:

  • 1st place: Ashley Mellinger
  • 2nd Place: David Dyakiv
  • 3rd Place Tied: Maia LaVigne and Jenna Northup

The evening concluded with the traditional commissioning knighting ceremony and prayer over the students.
