David Prevosti in his classroom
Congratulations to David Prevosti ‘96, ‘15 (Psychology and Pathway to Teaching), the first Golden Apple Award Winner for the 2025-2026 school year!
The Golden Apple Award, based on nominations and awarded by News 8 WROC, recognizes teachers and administrators who have a profound impact on their students. Prevosti was nominated by six families, who cited his connection with students and families as the reason for nominating him.
Prevosti currently serves as a fourth-grade teacher at Terry Taylor Elementary in the Spencerport School District. This is his sixth year teaching at Terry Taylor.
He credits his father for showing him the importance of education, which ultimately led to his career as a teacher.
If I can give people that opportunity, to see their potential as I was afforded that, then I definitely want to do that.

Not only is David Prevosti an award-winning teacher, he is also a legacy parent here at Roberts Wesleyan University. Prevosti’s son Noah just started at Roberts Wesleyan University this Fall, in the Academic Exploration Program. Here they are pictured together in their legacy family photo.
Congratulations again, David! We can’t wait to see the Prevosti family continue to flourish at Roberts!
