Judah Sealy ‘06 (Music) stepped onto the big screen in the recent Bruce Springsteen biopic, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere.
Sealy, a celebrated Rochester-based jazz musician, portrays legendary E Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, affectionately known as “The Big Man.” Producers sought out real musicians for the film, and Sealy’s natural likeness to Clemons, along with encouragement from fellow saxophonist Andy Snitzer, helped him stand out among hundreds of auditionees.

During filming, Sealy shared a memorable moment when Springsteen greeted him warmly: “The very first thing he said to me was, ‘It’s nice to see the Big Man again.’” Sealy said the experience was both humbling and deeply moving.
Beyond his role in the film, Sealy continues to make his mark as a Billboard-charting saxophonist, pianist, producer, and educator in the Rochester community. His single “Stylish” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz chart, and he currently teaches at Rochester Prep Adams Street Campus while producing and performing music nationwide.
