2025 Commencement Commissioning Prayer & Benediction
by Gerald Coleman, M.Div. Executive Director & University Chaplain

Dear Class of 2025,
As you cross the finishing line of this present journey, it now becomes the starting line to a new one.
Almighty God, it is with a sense of great gratitude that we approach you this morning. With thankful hearts, we have had the opportunity to cross paths and serve these graduates during their time here.
May their entire being be rooted and grounded in your love. Knowing that they have all been called and chosen.
May you empower them by your spirit to bear witness to your love as they leverage their gifts, talents, and abilities on behalf of the world.
May you guard them and protect them from the insidiousness of evil that would tempt them to live in ways that are self-serving instead of serving others.
May you give them wisdom and discernment every step of the way.
Now unto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than you could ask or dream, according to his diving power at work in.
In the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.
